role description
We are seeking a senior business development leader to spearhead our go-to-market strategy for stablecoin issuance and banking solutions within APAC, focusing on originating strategic partnerships with leading banks and enterprises. The ideal candidate will leverage deep expertise in Foreign Exchange (FX), institutional lending, or correspondent banking to demonstrate how our platform can revolutionize treasury operations, FX settlement, and inter-bank transactions. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire deal lifecycle, cultivating C-level relationships and structuring complex commercial agreements, while serving as a trusted advisor on digital asset implementation. Crucially, you will act as the primary driver of our stablecoin business regional growth, gathering critical market intelligence to directly inform our global product roadmap and leveraging your extensive network within APAC's financial sector to close landmark deals.   We have created the Factors of Growth & Impact to help Villagers better measure impact and articulate coaching, feedback, and the rich and rewarding learning that happens while exploring, developing, and mastering the capabilities and contributions within and outside of the APAC Regional Lead, Stablecoin Solutions role:

What You'll Do:

  • Members of the stablecoins team at Anchorage Digital are integral to driving forward our growth and success in the digital currency space by originating high-value client relationships and monetizing the company’s stablecoin products and services.
  • Members of the stablecoin team are expected to be ambassadors for our stablecoin solutions, building Anchorage Digital’s reputation as a trusted partner for issuance and integration.
  • You will be a critical source of client insights and market intelligence on stablecoin use cases, helping inform our product road map and business plan.

You may be a fit for this role if you have:

  • Strong technical knowledge of how blockchain and digital assets can be applied to solve real-world inter-bank challenges, including an understanding of fund flows, settlement mechanics, correspondent banking and cross-border payment flows.
  • A strong network of contacts within the global banking and financial enterprise ecosystem in APAC, specifically with decision-makers.
  • Acquaintance with existing and potential stablecoin issuers in your region. Familiarity with the regulatory landscape and main actors.
  • 10+ years of experience managing the entire institutional client engagement process, including sourcing opportunities, structuring complex payment and settlement deals, navigating to completion, and ensuring a successful onboarding experience.
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, start up environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and sales acumen.
  • The primary focus of this position is on direct sales and revenue generation, rather than partnership management.

Although not a requirement, bonus points if:

  • Deep expertise in the global payments ecosystem, including correspondent banking models and enterprise business structures, with a specific focus on the regional market and its unique regulatory landscape (e.g., SEPA, PSD2) and payment rails.
  • Professional fluency in a relevant regional language is highly preferred.
  • You were emotionally moved by the soundtrack to Hamilton, which chronicles the founding of a new financial system. :)
