About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The role will support the day-to-day accounting operations, month-end closing, financial reporting and audit requirements of the business. The successful candidate should have a solid understanding of IFRS, strong reconciliation skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-entity and cross-border environment. The level of appointment will be determined based on the candidate's experience and capabilities.

What You'll Do

  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities in accordance with IFRS and applicable local accounting requirements.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments and other accounting adjustments.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accounting records are complete, accurate and properly supported.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, intercompany, accounts payable, accounts receivable and other key account reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and aged reconciling items.
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packages.
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external auditors during interim and annual audits.
  • Support tax, regulatory and statutory reporting requirements where applicable.
  • Maintain proper accounting documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies and controls.
  • Support improvements to finance processes, reporting workflows and accounting procedures.
  • Assist with accounting matters relating to multiple entities and cross-border transactions.
  • For more experienced candidates, take ownership of assigned entities or reporting areas and provide guidance to junior team members.

What You'll Bring

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Good working knowledge of IFRS and fundamental accounting principles.
  • Hands-on experience in month-end closing, general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Experience supporting statutory audits and preparing audit schedules.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting or ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different functions and locations.

Nice to Have

  • A recognised professional accounting qualification or progress towards CPA, CA, ACCA or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite or another major ERP system.
  • Experience working in a multi-entity or multinational organisation.
  • Prior experience in financial services, fintech, digital assets or the cryptocurrency industry.
  • Familiarity with blockchain transactions, crypto wallets or digital asset accounting.
  • Big Four or external audit experience.
  • Knowledge of UAE accounting, tax or regulatory requirements.
  • Mandarin language capability.
